  friends!\n\nJoin Denver Westies dance community for our annual fall color
 s hike at Golden Gate Canyon State Park! We’ll explore the Raccoon Trail\,
  enjoy the aspens and mountain views\, and spend a relaxed afternoon toget
 her outdoors.\n\nDATE: Sunday\, Oct. 3rd\n\nMEETUP & CARPOOL\nTarget at Co
 lorado Mills\n14500 W Colfax Ave\, Unit B1\nLakewood\, CO 80401\n\nMeet at
  1:00 p.m.\nCarpools leave at 1:15 p.m.\n\nWe will aim for this exact meet

 ptr9\nBut check the event for updates.\n\nTHE HIKE\nRaccoon Trail is appro
 ximately a 2.5–3-mile loop with about 500 feet of elevation gain. It’s a m
 oderate hike with some uphill and uneven sections. We’ll take a social pac
 e\, with stops for photos\, snacks\, and enjoying the scenery.\n\nPlan on 
 spending about 2–3 hours hiking and hanging out. We expect to return to Ta
 rget around 5–6 p.m.\, depending on traffic\, parking\, and the group’s pa
 ce.\n\nPARKING & PARK ENTRY\nFall is a busy time at the park\, so we encou
 rage everyone to carpool!\n\nBudget $12–$17 per vehicle for park entry unl
 ess the vehicle already has a valid Colorado state parks pass\, including 
 the Keep Colorado Wild Pass.\n\nIf you plan to meet us at the park\, let u
 s know beforehand so we can meet up there.\n\nWHAT TO BRING\n• Plenty of w
 ater\n• Snacks or a packed lunch\n• Comfortable hiking shoes with good tra
 ction\n• Sunglasses\, sunscreen\, and a hat\n• A warm layer and a rain/win
 d jacket\n• A small backpack\n• Your camera or phone for photos!\n\nFall c
 olors vary with the weather\, so we can’t promise peak leaves\, but we’re
